The Lego House: A Symphony of Stacked Volumes

Interior Exterior Magazine, one of India's leading architecture and design publications, published a full editorial feature on The Lego House, a residence designed by Ar. Angad Kasliwal and Studio23 in Indore. The project, completed in 2024, spans 3,600 sq ft of site area with 4,200 sq ft of carpet area. The magazine's feature covers the project's defining ideas: interlocking cuboidal volumes, terracotta block textures that reference the modularity of Lego bricks, a central courtyard void with Persian-inspired tilework, and a double-height living space with a geometric yellow screen. The article notes that the deep recesses and overhangs in the facade are functional climate tools, creating natural shade and encouraging cross-ventilation suited to Indore's climate. Photography for the feature was by Pawan Vijayvargiya.

WorkMob Stories, a platform that profiles India's most inspiring entrepreneurs and professionals, published a dedicated video profile of Ar. Angad Kasliwal, Founder and Principal Architect, Studio23 Architecture and Design Firm, Indore. The profile is categorised under Architecture and Design and features Ar. We Must Now Improve the Quality of Life

Patrika, one of Madhya Pradesh's most widely read dailies, published a special feature on Indore's Swachh Survekshan journey titled Garbage Changed the City's Story. Ar. Angad Kasliwal was invited as an expert voice and contributed a signed column under the heading We Must Now Improve the Quality of Life. Writing as an architect and urban thinker, he argued that Indore's achievement in waste management is a foundation, not a finish line. The city must now turn its attention to the quality of everyday life: walkable neighbourhoods, cycling infrastructure, pedestrian-friendly streets, reduced car dependency, and better public spaces. He noted that 10-minute walkable access to daily needs, safe cycling lanes, and well-designed public spaces are not luxuries but the baseline of a liveable city. He called on architects, planners, and citizens to take responsibility for shaping Indore's next chapter.

Biophilic Architecture: Homes Must Reconnect with Nature

City Bhaskar — Dainik Bhaskar's Indore city supplement — published a special feature on 28 April 2020 titled Housing in Times of Corona, asking architects and builders what changes post-lockdown home design would demand. Ar. Angad Kasliwal was invited as a named expert voice and contributed a signed column on Biophilic Architecture. Writing with his photograph bylined, he argued that the lockdown had exposed a fundamental failure of modern homes: their disconnection from the natural world. He called for homes designed around natural light, cross-ventilation, indoor plants, connection to the outdoors, and materials that bring nature inside. He noted that biophilic design — integrating living systems, daylight, and natural materials into the built environment — is not an aesthetic choice but a health and wellbeing necessity. The feature also covered quarantine-convertible spaces, mud rooms before the entrance for sanitisation, and kitchen gardens, with Ar. Angad's column anchoring the design philosophy section.

TimesNext, a national platform that profiles India's most promising entrepreneurs and startups, selected Studio23 among its Super 30 Startups of 2019 and published a dedicated profile of Ar. Angad Kasliwal, Founder and Principal Architect, Studio23 Architecture, Indore. The Super 30 is a curated list of 30 high-impact startups from across India, selected for their innovation, entrepreneurial vision, and contribution to their sector. Studio23 was recognised for bringing architect-led, design-forward practice to Indore — a tier-two city where quality architecture and interior design had historically been underserved. The profile, published at timesnext.com/angad-kasliwal-architecturestartup-studio23, traced Ar. Angad's journey from Pune University and the University of Manchester back to Indore, his decision to build a practice in his hometown rather than a metro, and his belief that tier-two cities offer the most meaningful opportunities for an architect who understands the place and its people.
